Chapter 6 Discussion

This chapter teaches you how to organize all the information that you have found. this goes into detail about printed information and digital information. it teaches how to categorize information that is useful and will be useful later in the process. It goes in depth in explaining how to save things on your computer and even you iPhone if that is where you are taking your notes from. Note taking is also discussed in this chapter. How to take notes correctly and also how to store them. Your note taking affects the focus on your paper and how you form and produce your arguments. When taking notes you need to decide one way you want to do it and use that method consistently. Use direct quotes from the text you are taking notes from, this can become difficult to add to your paper so refer to where you got the quote to be able to look back and include it in your paper. Summarizing what you've read is also important, so you can get a general feel for what the source is about if you need a reference of its nature later. Record your reactions to the sources, so you can build off of those in your paper. what surprises you might surprise others. also, you are going to want to compare sources to one another. /this chapter also goes in depth about creating an annotated bibliography.
